Mr. Tumpek grew up in Dunaújváros, Hungary. He's been making handmade knives since 1975 and became a full-time custom knife maker in 1990.
He is producing one-of-a-kind custom folding knives and custom hunting knives for collectors.

All knives are handmade and designed for best function and performance on the field.
All hunting knives have a  nicely tapered full tang for best balance of the knife and they all come with a red or black spacer - features found only on the best custom hunting knives.
Over the years, his work has been featured in many magazines in Europe and the United States, like Knife Mania magazine and Cutting Edge.

After winning numerous awards in the fixed blade category, he decided to focus his talent on making exclusive and affordable
custom folding pocket knives, picking the most exclusive handle materials, like mammoth ivory, elephant ivory, warthog tusk, sambar stag and many more.

The blades are made with 440C, ATS34 or beautiful Damascus steel combined with titanium or stainless liners with full file work.

Several friends asked him to use his talent to make sambar stag grips for the Colt 1911, so he came up with special grip with spacer on the back side. So far, we haven't seen anyone make it like that. He only makes grips for the Colt 1911 and for the real clones. (Kimber, STI, Les Bear, Wilson, Defender Ultra Cary, Springfields, Dan Wesson etc.).

In summer 2010, Ferenc commissioned his old friend, Zoltan Csernus, to sell his creations again. Zoltan, who has been living in Southern California for more han 25 zears, used to represent Ferenc on the U.S. market for a long time, but there was a two year long hiatus.

Now, they launched a new website, and Ferenc produced some stunning custom knives and 1911 grips just for the American market.
